When you consider that The Sundowners started playing
rock 'n' roll at C.Y.O dances in 1962, it's pretty amazing that
they also just played for High School proms. Bobby Quips, "We're
not only older than the kids...we're older than the chaperones."

From touring with Dion and The Ronettes, rehearsing at The Apollo
Theater with James Brown upstairs, to opening for The Rolling
Stones at The Palace Theater in Albany, New York, The Dave Clark
5 at The R.P.I. Field House in Troy, The Who at The Anaheim Convention
Center in California, Tina Turner at The Hollywood Bowl and Jimi
Hendrix and the Monkees at Forest Hills Stadium in Long Island,
all The way to becoming today's party band of the Northeast from
ski resorts to Sotheby's, you might say this band has staying
power or better yet, playing power.

With Bobby Dick on bass, Jimmy Wilcox on drums, Ed Placidi on
lead guitar and Scott Price on lead guitar too, or two, plus vocals
that won't quit, it's an act that's hard to beat and tough to
follow. Known and respected as "The Cover Band's Cover Band"
with over four decades of rock 'n' roll, Bobby jokes, "We've
probably forgotten more songs than most bands know!" Bobby,
explains that with his "doo wop" roots from the subways
of Brooklyn to the influence of Elvis and The Beatles and now,
covering tunes by Creed, Steely Dan, Billy Joel, The Grateful
Dead and Lenny Kravitz to name a few, be ready to sing along and
bring your dancing shoes.

Bobby says that he loves imitating many artists except that after
all these years, he isn't sure which voice is his? As for The Sundowners,
their trademark is, and has always been, energy, execution and evolution.
With Jimmy Wilcox as the solid drummer with an amazing vocal range,
Ed Placidi, as on the the area's most admired guitarists and "The
Beatle" of the band, along with newest Sundowner, Scott Price
and his soulful voice and great guitar licks, it's rock 'n' roll
as it should be...no computers...no set lists...no excuses. Chick!
